We have all heard or seen the informecial for the ShamWow towels, and I'll admit I've even been tempted to buy one.  Now I'm glad I haven't, these would look so much more stylish in my kitchen or bath.  I found these at resuable bags.com, which come in cute modern prints.

Bowling Table

Inhabitat is featuring this recycled bowling lanes table, it makes me yearn for the years when I used to bowl in my Pee Wee league at Castle Lanes waaay back in the day!  Nonetheless I love this table, finding new and usual tables is my new addiction (it used to be chairs, but when I moved I had to give away a lot of my chair collection).

This idea isn't really that new, lots of people have made tables from this type of salvaged wood, this is just the first time I've seen it done really well, to the point it would fit with almost any decor.  I love that the table itself is the main focal point without the distraction of legs.

Trixie Delicious

The ritual that is called "High Tea" never really caught on here in the US, after all we are the coffee drinkers that once drew crates of tea overboard in rebellion of "no taxation without representation".  In our current world of scandal obsession I think Trixie Delicious has found a way to get us to combine our passions of rebellion with controversy. 

She rescues vintage plates from flea markets and recycles them into tea cups and saucers with adorably naughty words written on them like:  Slut, Wanker, Lust, Misfit, Vicious, Queer, Harlot, and Dipshit; all done in motifs that would make your grandmother proud!

The cups and plates are usable as they have been painted with non-toxic, food safe paint, but if you prefer to just show them off, they do come with hangers.

Aurora Robson

The haute blog fiftyRX3 has posted some pictures of an amazing artist named Aurora Robson.  She recycles discarded plastic bottles and uses them to sculpt some astonishing pieces.  They look like glass and immediately reminded me of the piece installed on the ceiling of the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. 

She says, "I am in love with organic forms, string theory, and compound complex curves. I am obsessed with the malleability of matter."  And it shows in the complexity of her work!  Check out fiftyRX3 on 5.07.2007 to see the installed pieces at Designers & Agents in NYC.

20ltd.com

So I've been perusing this ultra chic, uber fabulous site called 20ltd.com, which stands for 20 Limited. Which means every item is limited in production to 20 or less and will never be made again.  God this store was made for me; because I'm the kind of girl, who if you asked, where did I get those shoes, purse, blouse, or whatever; I will tell you I can't remember or it was a gift.  I know imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but I hate to be copied.  I guess it's the designer in me - I strive really hard to be an original, so I don't want to see myself walking down the street.

Even if the items on this site is not to your liking the music they play rocks!  I ALWAYS turn off the music feature on most sites and truthfully have always been annoyed that this feature seems to have taken off, the annoying website music usually interferes with what I've playing on my computer and the quality is usually the same as elevator Muzak!  Just as the items for sale are well edited and glamorous so is their choice in music - definitely check out their jukebox!

I will not post a picture of what they offer, you will just have to peruse yourself.  My only gripe is the super gorgeous cashmere lined, long haired, all-black fox-fur, double hammock by Bless (it's #12).  Back in my hedonistic days I would have jumped on this immediately, but thankfully I've seen the light and know better.  This is one of those temptations that make you think being bad never felt so goode.  But damn them for not commissioning this in a faux fur!!
